The second race weekend of the GB4 Championship took Holly Miall to Silverstone.
Qualifying
After two days of testing on-site at Silverstone, Holly went out ready for the second qualifying session of the year. Weather conditions were stable, with predicted overcast skies. Holly progressed with her timings in the short 15-minute session, setting her fastest lap time of 2:03:102. Holly was approximately three seconds off pole and placed P21 for Race 1 later in the day, where the fastest lap times determines grid position.
Race 2 grid positions are based by each driver’s second fastest qualifying lap – Holly’s was only off her best by 0.108 seconds. Meanwhile, Race 3 features a reverse starting grid for positions 1-12. Similar to her qualifying performance in Donington Park, Holly started P21 across all three races.

Race 1
In Race 1 on Saturday evening, Holly maintained her P21 position off the start line. With Neirin Evans dropping back three places and Ava Dobson’s 5-second penalty, Holly finished P19 with a healthy gap of approximately 5 seconds from the car behind.
Race 2
Race 2 was action-packed on Sunday morning: Holly faced transponder issues throughout the race; however, this did not affect her driving. After Luca Magnussen’s early incident bringing out the safety car, Holly inherited P20. With five laps remaining, incidents with Jason Pribyl and Thomas Ingram Hill alongside a strong overtake on Megan Bruce advanced her to P17. Though being passed by Bruce in the final laps, Luke Hilton’s disqualification allowed for Holly to hold P17 till the chequered flag – her highest finishing position of the weekend.
Race 3
The weekend was rounded off with Race 3 on Sunday evening. In the opening lap, Holly fought with Neirin Evans and unfortunately lost her position. Nonetheless, incidents including a spin from Alex Berg and collision between Luke Hilton and Jack Taylor moved Holly up three places to 19th . Holly held onto this position for a majority of the race, until the last lap where an incident with Dayton Coulthard and Alexandros Kattoulas promoted her to P18.
Holly summarised her weekend:
“I think qualifying this weekend was a bit challenging I felt that I still had more to give. Overall, I’m happy that I was able to make up some ground throughout the races. Leading up to Oulton Park, I’ll take the learnings from this weekend so I can come back even stronger.”
